The power of positive thinking is powerful, isn’t it?

And isn’t it fun to daydream and picture ourselves living in a treehouse on an island, or onstage with the Beach Boys,  or inspiring thousands of women to have confidence and becoming screaming successes…that’s FANTASTIC!

We won’t get to where we want to go if we aren’t positive.

And I urge you to go one step further…once you have in your mind what you want your life to look like – know it’s probable…not just possible. Give your dreams all the steam you can!

I used to have this rickety old little deuce coupe of a BMW that I had to drive up hills in San Francisco. It was so difficult to get it started on a hill as it was stick shift and pretty rickety. So I had to time the lights so I could get a running start from the previous hill – what an adventure.

The same with your dreams – give yourself EVERY ounce of energy to succeed – then live as if your dreams ARE your life.

Sassy Secret: Get a crystal clear picture of what you want your life to look like…then act like it will happen – not that it’s a possibility, it’s a probability. AND you are worthy and deserve every drop of AWESOME!

Isn’t life full of new twists and turns everyday? Do you take the time to enjoy them?

I used to schedule my day to the nano minute, and I’d live like a robot feeling exhausted and boring by the end of the day.

I dreamed of having the time to drive a new route, discover a hidden beach or mosey through a sassy boutique —  yet I kept choosing chaos instead of Kristin, and that got me into a heap of trouble. I finally had to let go and let space into my life. I’d never done that before and it was life changing.

Since then, I’ve stumbled on inspiration in these all these places (and more) and re-energized. And who doesn’t want to embrace that?

Do you ever slosh down by the sand looking for interesting rocks and shells? It’s my favorite way to feel connected to nature and the universe. It also clears my mind and brings so much joy to my life.

Sassy Secret: Take some time for yourself and turn a new corner or skulk through a museum or musty bookstore…you never know what treasures await you! Life is an exploration – what rocks will you overturn today?

It’s easy to look at our lives through stressed out glasses, isn’t it? We forget to stop and savor the moment — or even recognize these moments exist.

Yet they do.

Whether it’s a funny comment your friend makes to you during happy hour or a pic someone texts you to know they are thinking about you, these are moments of joy to be savored.

Here’s my challenge…don’t dwell on the inconveniences, struggles, grudges, unfair situations and negative happenings.

Sassy Secret: Relish the little bits and bobs of joy that happen everyday…if you can’t think of one, create one – right here…right now!

Look out the window, take a deep breath and enjoy the sunset…find an old pic from a happy occasion – Christmas, a wedding a birth or a holiday…

Pick up the phone and call one person who you KNOW will say your fabulous (if you have my number, call me!)…

Or turn on your favorite song (mine is God Only Knows by the Beach Boys) and revel in how awesome you are!

“Success is who you are…not what you do or have…”

The never-ending ladder of success…I climbed and pushed and prodded and never reached the top of where others expected or “motivated” me. In reality, I felt angry, unsatisfied and empty. I felt like a failure. I was looking for a title, a promotion, and recognition that was never going to happen.

But funny thing…I was growing, achieving, connecting, collaborating, dreaming, and helping others.

How could I NOT feel like a success, right?! When I recognized how it felt to grow, achieve, connect, collaborate, dream and help — I felt amazing and was proud of who I became.

Did I cure cancer? Did I climb Kilimanjaro? Did I solve a rubic’s cube? No, but I sure realized that I was already a success because of who I was, not my title or the kind of car I drove (which is funny because I do not have a car at the moment - whoopsie!).

Now that I’ve started with Arbonne, I already feel successful because of my experience and my skills, but also because I’m using my most favorite qualities to build a strong business, connect with and help other strong, amazing people.

Ah Doubt… Doubt has been my roommate a long time. She’s lived rent-free in my head and really curtailed me from living my dreams. I don’t know why. And I don’t care because I gave her notice, and replaced her with better roommates – belief, positivity, love and success.

How does that feel? Thank you for asking! I feel like I’m flying and that everything is possible – and not even possible but definite. Corny? Maybe, yet it’s a true story.

Do you dream of a better life, one filled with upbeat background music while you are strutting your way down the avenue like it’s a catwalk?

Honestly, I do. I even had the music to Pirates of Caribbean playing from a greeting card in my bike basket with a skull and crossbones air freshener swinging from my handlebars just to create the effect.

I wanted to create the ambiance that I was living the life I always envisioned. And you know what? It started to happen — slowly but surely, my life became more exciting. We moved to Australia, I started a business, I became friends with the most fabulous people, move to LA, moved BACK to Capitola and now embarking on my Arbonne adventure…and it’s because I started living my adventure instead of just dreaming about it.

Have you spent time wishing you were a better person and feeling like you couldn’t live up to your expectations? I know I have — and that kind of thinking has kept me from becoming a better person. I’ve felt like I didn’t measure up (to what, I have no idea) and I wasn’t special enough to deserve an awesome life.

I now realize that’s kooky – I already have in me everything I need to be the most fabulous woman I can imagine. So do you. If we embrace our best bits and accept ourselves and all our quirks, we can have the confidence to shine!

I see this light in all the wonderful women I’m proud to call friends. Do they see it in themselves? Not always, so I’m happy to remind them. Don’t waste another second feeling like you aren’t the bees knees…you are!

It’s #WonderWomanWednsday & #WisdomWednesday! It’s quickly becoming my favorite day of the week since I get to share the best secrets…

I’ve spent a lot of my life dreaming. I spent a lot of my life hoping I reached those dreams. Frankly, I was exhausted and disappointed that my dreams weren’t becoming my whole life. I’ve read hundreds and hundreds of books, quotes, songs, poems — all that great ballywhoo yet still didn’t have the life I dreamed…

About a week ago I had an epiphany…instead of just dreaming it, why don’t I just act like my dream came true and live my life from that perspective…hmmm…that was something I could easily do. So I started. I feel a scrillion times happier, motivated and excited that my life is AWESOME! 

Have there been any major changes in the last week? From my perspective, you bet your sweet apples there has been – I launched a new business, signed up for a handmade gift show, got in touch with at least 50 of my favorite women to invite them to celebrate with me, AND have a fabulous new hair color.

I’ve received more compliments in the last week than in forever and I’m sure it’s because I changed my thinking and now feel aligned with what I think my life’s purpose is. I’m making more bold and confident decisions, speaking truthfully and passionately about what I REALLY want to do and I feel FREE…all because I changed my thinking…
