My usual base of:

  • Banana
  • Kale
  • Celery

Then I add whatever fresh or frozen fruit I have handy – this time I added:

  • Raspberries
  • Grapes

Must Haves – I always include my Arbonne Essentials:

  • 1 scoop Protein Shake Mix – Vanilla or Chocolate – I used Chocolate this time
  • 1 Digestion Plus packet
  • 1 scoop Greens
  • I scoop Fiber Boost

I just love Bloody Mary’s — and actually prefer my virgin recipe the best. So I’ve adapted it for health. And it’s utterly divine. Still looks green but has a snap of spice.

Blend:

Tomatoes
Spinach
Romaine
Celery
Green Olives & Juice
Cilantro
Tomato Sauce & Ranchero Sauce (added for flavor)
Worcestershire  Sauce
Dijon Mustard
Touch of Lemon Juice

UNBELIEVABLE — and only about 1.5 WW Points.

Still feeling great, still loving my Magic Bullet!

 

Don’t worry, the Sassy Assassin won’t get so healthy that you won’t see her at Champagne Fridays. I do have a rep to protect!

In the magic Magic Bullet, today I blended:

Romaine Lettuce
Spinach
1 Apple
1/2 Banana
Heap of Parsely
Celery
Lemon Juice & Water

I think the secret will be to keep experimenting with different fruit & veg so no day is the same. I can’t wait until I do a Bloody Mary Green Kocktail.

Now call myself the
“Accidental Athlete” as I’ve discovered (and love) kickboxing and aikido (I find this hilarious). I’ve also gone back to Weight Watchers — huzzah for points!

Why? I don’t quite know but it feels good — so I’ll go with that.

I’ve been working with The Goodness Company so have been doing heaps of research on raw eating, natural detox, green foods, etc and was curious to try drinking green smoothies in the morning since it seems to be the “thing-du-jour” these days.

WOWWWWWEEEEEE — I’m hooked!

Here’s my first “kocktail” — I’m going to experiment and share just in case no one believes that I’m going from skulking &  sauntering, to a stronger, hopefully slimmer & even sweeter Sassy Assassin.

Away we go — Something Green & Sassy: Kristin’s Kocktail #1:

In the amazing Magic Bullet (all the best recipes start here!) blend:

Romaine Lettuce
1 Green Pear
1/2 Banana (not green but yummy & healthy)
Spinach
Parsely
Cilantro
Lemon Juice
A bit of Water to help blend

So easy…so delicious. And only 1.5 points on the old Weight Watchers program. YEAH!!! I’ll let you know if it keeps me full & satisfied.

So super excited to start Veganuary that I had to post a delicious and mega-quickie recipe that will get you off on the right foot.

Sweet & Sassy and Berry Yummy Berry Smoothie:

Berry Mixture – I used frozen (you can use fresh) berry mix of Strawberries, Blueberries & Raspberries – about 2 cups

Chocolate So Good Ice Cream – about a cup

Vanilla So Good Ice Cream – about a cup

Mix in my FAVOURITE mixer – the Magic Bullet

You can add other fruit, play with the amounts of soy ice cream, or add orange juice/apple juice depending on your preferences.

It is SOY GOOD and makes a perfect mid-meal snack.

I loosely follow the Great Australian Diet by Dr. John Tickell where I try to get in 15 plant foods a day (grains, seeds, fruit & vege). This has 4.

Great boost to your day – great boost to mine!
